The Spanish group was formed by physicians Jesús Muñoz (Hospital La Paz, Madrid), Luis Nombela (Hospital Puerta de Hierro, Madrid), and Dr. Durand (Hospital Universitario Virgen del Rocío, Sevilla). This system was accepted by the National Health Institute (NHI) of the United States in 1991 for its development and application worldwide.
  • He trained radiologists in the endovascular treatment of cerebral and medullary vascular processes at the Reina Sofia Hospital in Cordoba, the Carlos Haya Hospital in Malaga, and the Puerta del Mar Hospital in Cadiz.
